Club Championship
The Club Championship (CC) is a competition to get your name (1 male, 1 female)
engraved on our shiny plaques. The 2024 CC will run from January through to December
and the plaques awarded at the club Christmas meal.
How it works.
The aim is to score as may points as possible from your best 7 races out of 12 qualifying
races. The male and female with the most points are the winners.
How to get points.
Points are awarded on your finishing position within the club from 10 down (10,9,8 etc)
If more than 10 entrants then everyone from 10th downwards gets one point
The finishing order for the Parkruns will be based on your age graded percentage found in
the results.
There are also points gained based on the number of races you participate in, so 1 point for
each race. This is to reward enthusiasm, not just speed.
You will get 1 bonus point if you run a marathon and a bonus point if you run an ultra (32
miles / 50km Min)
So if you enter more than 7 races you get 1 point for each subsequent race
If there is a tie then whoever has run the most Championship races will be declared the
winner, If still a tie, whoever has the best age graded parkrun % throughout the year (in
Championship races) will be the winner
Qualifying races.
You need to have run at least six of the 12 qualifying races. Your best 7 scores will be used
for your final.
Who can take part?
Anyone who is a paid up member of CRR. CRR must be listed as your club on the results if
possible and Club kit must be worn for the duration of the race. Club Kit rule may be waived
for newer members.
